Joyce Anne Ware Longfellow

Co-Owner, Ambassador

Joyce Anne was born in La Jolla, California where her parents introduced her to seagulls, waves, sand, and ice cream cones. Her father joined the Army Air Corps during World War II, thus launching a life of travel and adventure.

She still loves to return to The Cove for dips in the ocean and to feed seagulls. After 38 years of moving from one city and country to another, she ended up in Tempe, Arizona in 1977 to begin a new life and set down deep roots. She hasn't moved since!

Her professional career in dentistry began in Dr. Longfellow's first office on Lakeshore Drive-out of necessity to pay rent and feed her children (See "Dreams Do Come True" for complete story). Little did she know that her choice would result in so much more. She has made her dreams come true over several decades.

She received undergraduate and graduate degrees from Arizona State University, stood up for humanitarian causes both locally and globally, and provides leadership for the pediatric dental practice that launched her career. In 2005, she stepped down from day-to-day management of Children's Dental Village to pursue other interests-writing books, gardening, spending time with grandchildren and their parents, traveling, climbing mountains and retreating to Alaskan wilderness every summer.

She continues to be involved with Children's Dental Village as a consultant and advocate of children. "Children's Dental Village embraces and values excellence, energy, and ethics. You and your children deserve the best dental care available. That's what we do!"
